Message Board:

1. Attendance Remainder:
Please make sure you are entering attendance into MISIS by 8:30am. Now that the Internet connection is working better, it should be easier to connect. If you have problems, try using a different web browser like Safari or Firefox. Also, make sure to alert the office if there are discrepencies in student information (appearing on your roster or disappearing). We need to know these to clear them up. Keeping updated on the red foler is also crucial. It’s our only way to accurately monitor attendance.

2. Tree People planting event success:
Thanks to the coordination, planning, and preperation from Ms. Kovnat, Mr. Rhymer, and the Garden Committee we had over 260 volunteers participate in our El Dorado tree planting event. Over the two Saturdays, 46 trees were planted throughout El Dorado and our school garden began its transformation. Community events like this between students, families, teachers, community members, and volunteers from as far north as Santa Barbara help make El Dorado a great place to be. Great Work!

3. Classroom Environment Expectations:
All classrooms should post grade level created Performance Tasks or 3 Phase Lessons in mathematics. For ELA Writing, teachers should have posted their Writing on Recyclng or alternatively prepared grade level created writing practice prompt. As a reminder, all posted work should include a score, written feedback, rubric, standard, and task/problem directions. You may also post class samples or posters related to the creating of the assignment.

4. Professional Development:
Please turn in the salmon colored PD survey sheet by Friday, Feb. 6. On Monday, Feb. 9, a notice will be boxed indicating which PD option dates were chose.

BUCKET FILLERS: Big Thanks to the following. . .

  • Ms. Kovnat and Mr. Rhymer for organizing the Tree Planting Event.
  • Ms. Filippelli and Ms. Arriaga for prepping behind the scenes for the tree event.
  • All our staff who came out to the tree planting events.

    ELD Instruction:
ELD Instruction should be 45-60 minutes daily depending on ELD levels.

All attendance notes need to be cleared timely. If you are not able to clear an absence because three days have past then please send up the notice to the office to clearitimmediately. Whenyou hold on to them and send them up in bulk it takes too much time for office staff to complete and keep updated. Send them up as you get them. Thanks!

    Positive Behavior Support:
Please work on your rules, consequences and rewards. Children must be clear and understand exactly what the expectations are.
